ROB the Robot NES Game Controller
About ROB the Robot
R.O.B. (an acronym for Robotic Operating Buddy) was a controller/accessory/secondary player for the NES. Games that involved ROB were essentially one-player games in which the player would not only control their character on screen, but also control ROB. In turn, ROB's movements would push the buttons on the Player 2 NES controller which would then let the player advance further in the game. ROB took prompts for his "turn" by receiving flashes from the TV screen. Only two games were made to utilize ROB the Robot's assistance: Gyromite and Stack-Up.
